MASSAGE
What is it?
This is the manipulation of the body's soft tissue (ligament/tendon/muscle). Massage promotes health and well being and is a great way to induce relaxation and stress reduction.
How can it help me?
Whether it is back ache, neck ache or shoulder pain - massage will help. Regular massage will help insomnia and irritable bowl syndrome, especially if stress reduction strategies are employed (see Rob about these). One thing is for sure, regular massage will help restore the body's natural balance and give you added vitality and boost your ability to fight disease etc. Book in for your taster massage as soon as possible!
SPORTS MASSAGE
What is it?
Sports massage is the purposeful manipulation of the body's
soft tissue. Muscles, tendons and ligaments are manipulated
to aid recovery, athletic development and sports
performance along with injury rehab.
How can it help me?
Four main areas have been identified where sports massage
can be of value to the individual:-
1. Pre training - Tuning the athlete in for exercise.
2. Post training - Improving the healing of tissue to
instil optimum growth and repair.
3. Rehab - To prevent injury and allowing optimum
performance.
4. Restoration - To help repair chronic and acute injuries.
